Hi Artastic hold an Art Zone where anyone can drop in and use art materials to create anything they want so if your daughter wanted to paint on a canvas/ draw/ make a collage/ or do a pastel drawing she can!

Its ?5 per hour and additional cost for canvases ?3.

It is held at the Scout Hut Bellenden Road.

Ridgely, forgive me, but yours is a bit of an odd post. Is your daughter local? If so then surely by 15 she already knows via her school & friends networks what's available in ED in the way of activities/clubs etc? If she's not local then - without being too personal - why does she want to know?

Also, possibly the reason you haven't got many replies to your post is that it's too general? There are clubs and activities to suit almost every type of interest or hobby in Dulwich & ED. Maybe you could be a bit more specific about which clubs she wants and the get replies accordingly. Or, just put the area of her interest into the EDF search engine, it's sure to come up with something.

I really hope you don't think I'm being rude. It wasn't my intention. It just seems like such an odd reason to ask that particular question.

I don't think it's an odd post. Somebody is just asking for some advice (prob on behalf of their 15 year old) about after school/weekend things going on.

Lots of posts don't get many replies and it's only the same day anyway.

What's the point about "being local" ?

It maybe to you sillywoman, but not to me, as my daughter does not go to school in ED nor does her friends I was just asking as she does quite a lot of activities in school but her careers advisor told her to find outside activities in her area to be more rounded.

Thanks minder I have only been living in ED three years now so I don't know myself

by 'local' I meant does she live here/ have a life here. Having a 15year old daughter myself I just couldn't picture someone that age living here without managing to have local friends and contacts around to inform them of what goes on. But, you say you send your daughter to school out of the area so her social life is not in ED, and as you've only been here 3 years I would guess she doesn't have friends from primary school here either, so now your post makes a bit more sense.

Am very impressed that she has a 'careers advisor' at 15 though. Wow.

Yes she does Sillywoman, as now were are currently, applying for sixth form for next year as the school that she is currently in does not automatically except you for this. A nightmare is like applying for secondary school all over again hopefully she will hear soon which school as accepted her.

If you're applying to secondary schools local to ED it might be worth waiting for her to make some friends at her new school & find out what they do at weekends/ evenings.

BTW - you never did say - what sort of extra curricular things is she interested in - e.g. sport, music, drama, art? There's quite a lot of stuff happening round here. Can you narrow it down a bit?
