Part-time childcare needed from Sept

Recommended Posts

Are you looking for a flexible nanny/childcare job from beginning of September? We are a friendly family between Herne Hill & North Dulwich with two girls, currently 12 and 11, both of whom will be at secondary school from September and we need to change our child care arrangements. We are therefore looking for after school care 4 days a week from 4.30 (they get a coach home ? there is no need to pick up - just be home) to 6.30pm and also for full time, all day (10 hours), care for 4 days a week in the school holidays (about 18 weeks holiday a year).

Requirement to supervise homework and prepare snack/tea each evening. Occasionally might need to meet from school in Sydenham if they are finishing late after sports match etc (car is available if driver). During the school holidays it would suit someone who is happy to go on trips out, parks, picnics, shopping, baking etc and just basically have fun (with the odd nag about doing some homework!). Children are close and get on well.

I would calculate the salary on an annualised hours basis to regulate monthly gross pay if wanted. 5 weeks paid holiday (to coincide with school holidays). This role might suit someone who is studying or who has another part time job etc to fit around their hours, or who is perhaps a nanny with their own baby. Would prefer the 4 days to be Mon-Thurs but can do another combination of 4 days if necessary so please do ask. Occasional babysitting available if interested but not essential at all. We will pay the annual Ofsted fee if you are registered.

References and CRB check required. Please PM me for more details or to ask me any questions.

thanks

    • That name ('on the Lordship') really makes me cringe.
    • Just re-read the document. So they're making the east side of Peckham rye buses only? Is that likely to impact lordship lane? I'm in favour of the extended pavements, safer crossings and segregated bike lanes. I imagine that making the east side of the rye a fast bus route will improve journey times too.
    • You will have to explain this one to me, it looks to be improving bus and bike journeys, which is a good thing.  Traffic is always backed up the Rye during rush hour/term times, having used this route to commute for two decades by bike.  I'd welcome safer bike journeys. I'll have a longer look later.
    • Yes they piggy back off three - found a number to actually speak to them. We’re not fussed I was leaving, said they were having problems. Really is ridiculous - have worse reception in London than Devon - doesn’t connect at all now and I am along Southbank way. Calls keep being disconnected. Sadly, I am done with them - overcharged me for one month and not refunding. Going to Libra - not possible  to be as bad as ID - literally been going on for months and as they admitted last year to me when I was having problems with their ap “ yes, we have been experiencing problems”!,
