Looking for a part-time nanny

Recommended Posts

We are a friendly family with two fun boys (5 and 2) living in East Dulwich. We?re looking for someone reliable to look after our 2 year-old for two days a week, ideally from August/September. The hours would be roughly 8.30 to 6.30. We can be flexible on the days of the week.

Very occasionally, you might also need to look after our 5 year-old, for example if he has a day off school.

If you're interested, please PM me.

Ben

Hello Ben,

I am interested in your part time Nanny Job advert. My Name is Chaneka and i have a BA Degree in Early Childhood Studies.I have also done volunteering work in a Primary School for 6 months and now i am currently working in a private nursery with three and a half to four and a half years old.

Growing up I have always had an early years influence around me. This is because my mother has always worked with the under-fives, it was when my mother started working from home that I developed an interest in young children and how they learn. I am a creative person and have had over 10 years? experience with performing arts this has enabled me to assist my mother in supporting the children?s creative development.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Kind Regards,

Chaneka

Amazing Nanny up for grabs.

We are looking for a nanny share/ split for our amazing nanny Karen. Our two boys (Arun in year 5 and Rohan in year 2 at Heber) have had the privilege of having Karen look after them for over 5 years. The arrangement was initially sole charge but for the past 2.5 years we have had a very successful nanny share arrangement with a local family who due to a change of circumstances won?t be needing her care for much longer.

She has looked after our boys brilliantly and having a background as a nanny with another large family, a nursery manager, NVQ level 3 in childcare and a mother to three herself, she is an incredibly well rounded person with the professionalism to deal with the day to day demands of a busy working household in addition to the after school and school demands (often with some arduous hours- I?m a hospital doctor). This, combined with the know how to amuse and stimulate, with activities and fun days out for the boys and have an air of authority, has made her perfect for us. She has taken the complexities of managing a child with a severe nut allergy in her stride and has our absolute trust. We have had nannies before and none have come close in terms of her skills and abilities.

She is also DBS (previously CRB) checked and has first aid skills. She also knows East Dulwich well as she was born and brought up here.

She dearly wants to stay with our family but she is ready to take on another family ideally with a younger child needing care between the school hours and could also combine this with school runs to Heber for an older child. She works a 3-day week for us with an occasional flexible extra day but is looking to work a 4 day or 5 days week ideally. She is available to start in the new school year.

If you think you might be interested or know someone who is then please do give drop us a line/ PM me

    • That name ('on the Lordship') really makes me cringe.
    • Just re-read the document. So they're making the east side of Peckham rye buses only? Is that likely to impact lordship lane? I'm in favour of the extended pavements, safer crossings and segregated bike lanes. I imagine that making the east side of the rye a fast bus route will improve journey times too.
    • You will have to explain this one to me, it looks to be improving bus and bike journeys, which is a good thing.  Traffic is always backed up the Rye during rush hour/term times, having used this route to commute for two decades by bike.  I'd welcome safer bike journeys. I'll have a longer look later.
    • Yes they piggy back off three - found a number to actually speak to them. We’re not fussed I was leaving, said they were having problems. Really is ridiculous - have worse reception in London than Devon - doesn’t connect at all now and I am along Southbank way. Calls keep being disconnected. Sadly, I am done with them - overcharged me for one month and not refunding. Going to Libra - not possible  to be as bad as ID - literally been going on for months and as they admitted last year to me when I was having problems with their ap “ yes, we have been experiencing problems”!,
