Sally Eva
The ride starts from newly refurbished Dulwich Park Cafe (SE21 7BQ) and ends 2hours later in the same place. Apart from getting up to the Park at the beginning and end there are no hills. The plan is to ride from Dulwich to the Thames. The group did this route last year to demonstrate that you could do a non-hilly ride from Dulwich. It follows the the ?lost? river Effra to the Thames. The outward leg is via Brockwell Park to Brixton town centre where traffic can be heavy. Down Brixton Road and round the Oval is gently downhill and mostly uses bus lanes. There will be a stop on Vauxhall Bridge to admire the Effra flowing into the Thames next to MI6. The return ride is via Kennington Park and Myatts Fields. There really are no significant hills on this Dulwich ride. It starts at 131ft in Dulwich Park and descends to 16 ft at the Thames. With all the small bumps there is a total of 245ft of ascent, all low slope stuff.
