ClareC
Has anybody used / seen the Vibe being used with the Maxi Cosi attachment? Does it still seat a toddler in addition to the baby? I assumed it didn't so discounted it (presumably heavier child would have to go in back seat which your not supposed to do) thought it worth checking though :-) Thanks Clare x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15475-pt-vibe-and-maxi-cosi-adapter/ Share on other sites
Princess
I'm drawing a bit of a blank on this too. I also need to know if the adaptors will fit the 2009 model (I doubt it). I think a trip to mothercare is in order. I'll let you know how we get on. jills
I seem to recall on the dash that you don't have to put the main seat back/flat for the maxi cosi because it sits above the frame a bit. If same goes for the vibe, technically you could fit the doubles seat on the back. But like you said, I'm sure there's 'rules' and issues of balance. If you were in a pinch however... ClareC
Thx for your comments:-) there seems to be no information about this online and clearly isn't popular..... Mothercare is the answer!! Will look forward to hearing more :-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15475-pt-vibe-and-maxi-cosi-adapter/#findComment-404887 Share on other sites
Princess
Having had a chat to the lady in mothercare it would seem the maxi cosi only fits on the new Vibe frame (not our 2009 one). It would also seem if you use the maxi cosi you can't use the doubles kit underneath due to uneven weight distribution. So all in all it's great if you've just got the baby with you but if you're with the toddler and baby the cocoon and doubles kit seems the way to go. ClareC
Thanks so much for that Princess. I though that was the case from what I could find online, wasn't at all obvious though so I wasn't sure.I do have the 2010 frame but sounds a bit pointless if it then only seats one child, I will only have a 15 onth age gap so my eldest will more than likely be with us - no nursery etc. Did you happen to notice how big (and expensive) the adapter was whilst at Mothercare? I seem to remember it being around the ?25 mark and quite large in which case it doesn't sound like the most practical buy...... bubba will just have to wake up when he gets in and out the car ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15475-pt-vibe-and-maxi-cosi-adapter/#findComment-405355 Share on other sites
Princess
I'm sorry I didn't. I discounted it, (and glazed over a bit if i'm being honest) as soon as I found out it wouldn't fit on our frame! We managed last time with our maxi cosi and cocoon combo. I'm sure we'll make it through those first few months again. Sanne Panne
Looks like you'll have a Maclaren in the boot and a baby bjorn for the little one... (do you have a bjorn already by the way? I have one with lumbar support, the fanciest one, bit grey from washing but otherwise great condition) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15475-pt-vibe-and-maxi-cosi-adapter/#findComment-405613 Share on other sites
