Brockwell park sand and water play area

Does anyone know what's going on there? Went today to find the sandpit has been turfed over and water not turned on yet.

Apparently they turfed it last week as the sand was clogging the water system? Or is it budgets..

I thought the water was coming on this weekend though.

So we have had some recent nice weather but the council probably have a budget to stick to.

it's not officially summer. So it won't come on just for one nice day.

Water was on on Saturday. Maybe it's a temperature thing - or possibly we were just v lucky
