Recommendation: Bradley carpet cleaner

I wanted to pass on a recommendation for Bradley who did an amazing job cleaning carpets when we moved into a new house. He also rejuvenated an old rug that had seen better days.

He's a lovely guy, reasonably priced and can usually fit you in very quickly.

I believe he also does window cleaning and pest control - a man of many talents!

His number is 07946 328565.

Just had Bradley around for cleaning hall and stair carpet - efficient and very helpful. Asked him to give me a quote for cleaning a sofa which he did and was reasonable so he did this as well whilst on the premises. Even though the carpet is still damp I can see the difference.

And I can advise how to save money. The best option is to clean the carpet yourself. To do this, you just need to buy a good and proven shampoo. I share with a shampoo selection https://spotcarpetcleaners.com/reviews/best-carpet-shampoo/. Apply for 15-20 minutes, then brush and carpet as good as new.

    • I live in a street of terraced houses. I have just remembered that a house diagonally opposite to mine had major  subsidence in their bay, which was propped up with scaffolding etc for some time. This was some years before my issues in my bay started. The reason I'm posting this here is that there is a large tree outside their house as well.  The tree  is still there, so I'm assuming that the tree was not the cause of their subsidence either. There is also no sign of further cracking, so I assume that whatever remedial measures were undertaken worked. Of course trees CAN  cause subsidence, but that is two incidences locally where very bad subsidence was not due to a  street tree outside the house. I don't know the actual cause in that case (though I could find out, as the owner has moved but still lives locally) but my suspicion is that it was the same as mine, as all  the terraced  houses would have been built at  the same time.
    • The Police Station was on the corner of Crystal Palace Road and the horses were kept out the back. My Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather owned a nearby Barber shop. The police men would visit the barber shop often and get their beards shaved. My grand mother and her sister, who were growing up in the family home, would have to lather the policemens chins, much to their amusement as they giggled away.
