How many people are permitted to accompany a recipient of a Gold DoE at Buck House?

Only one it seems - to St James's anyway.

"We invite as many Award recipients as possible to attend a presentation at St James?s Palace. As space in the State Apartments is limited you are only able to bring one personal guest, who must be over the age of 16."

Probably a well-known multi-poster-reincarnate...

Thanks John.

And one that rhymes with the current name, I'd guess.

I rather like his sense of humour and that he uses it to deal with what must be pretty tedious activities (not Sn, sorry, Borky: Prince Philip). He's spent his whole life getting on with what has to be done, apparently not worrying too much how sections of the media may spin it, and accepting the limitations his role has imposed on him, such as not being able to give his own children his surname, his family's exile from Greece and his mother's mental illness.

Yes. Reminds me of a former poster, with a username that sounded very similar to this one. Although this latest one is more like a crude parody of the original.

I was lucky enough to attend Buckingham Palace presentation last may, and it was only one guest on the invitation. However, and I'm not sure if this was because it was the Diamond jubilee year, my husband was also allowed to attend, as he signed up to complete a Diamond Challenge.

    • You may have more success posting on ED facebook….personally, not a fan  of social media but where I have moved to in the country, this seems to be the main way  of communication. A suggestion for you - well a couple actually - there is a cafe at the edge if Telegraph Hill which might be worth a shot with a pizza stand attached - from memory think it is called White Rabbit or something like that. Cafe has odd evenings when they have music  as well. Not sure if you are to young but give them a go. Get some leaflets/cards done and pop through letterbox or on car windscreen in local area offering your services to clean cars… sure you have done this already. Wish you all the best.
