Just started it the other day and I cannot put it down. It is as good as "Corrections." I am now thinking of comparing it to Buddenbrooks or War & Peace, but I think the themes of enviromentalism and the end of the Left wing politics anchor it more closely to our time. Big themes or the detail of family history or both?
