where can i get rid of a ripped duvet ?

Where can I get rid of a ripped (well, melted in tumble dryer) duvet. Plus a duck down pillow with a hole in? Any ideas?

Could possibly be used for stuffing soft toys etc.

Take it to the council dump off the Old Kent Road, if you are a Southwark Resident. You drive in, show them proof of your address and they point you to the correct dump bay.

The recycling van will be in the Sainsbury's car park between 10 and 1 on Wednesday if you can get there. They will take them.

I believe most charity shops will take things like that as rags?

I've taken bags of clothes not good enough to resell to the hospice shop, clearly marked as rags.

That's useful to know. I was not aware of that. I still have a lot of 'Clobber' not good enough to wear.

That's true of clothing that's not good enough to sell, but some charity shops have stopped taking duvets for H&S reasons
