Looking for part-time nanny for newborn twins from mid-May

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a nanny to assist us with caring for our three girls: newborn twins who will be 8 weeks old in the first week of May, and a two year old toddler.

We are looking for a kind and reliable nanny who is experienced with newborns, and preferably also with some experience with twins. You should be passionate about working with children and enjoy doing fun activities with them, both at home and at group classes.

The position is for 5 days a week, preferably starting from mid-May. The role is for a minimum of 30 hours per week. There is some flexibility in the hours worked although assistance will be required on Wednesdays (8.30am ? 7.30pm) and between 4.00-7.30pm on other week days. This could be a live-in or live-out position. A competitive salary is offered.

Our toddler attends nursery 4 days a week, so your key responsibility will be assisting the mother whilst she is on maternity leave, in providing care to the twins. In addition, your responsibilities will include:

? being in sole charge of the twins on occasions;

? being in sole charge of our toddler on occasions (e.g. collection from nursery, attending a playgroup session);

? providing some general assistance around the house (e.g. washing children's clothes, tidying up each day).

Essential requirements include:

? Ofsted registration;

? a valid and recent CRB check;

? paediatric first aid qualifications;

? NVQ or other qualifications in childcare;

? good level of spoken and written English;

? full clean international driving licence; and

? at least three recent references from families with whom you have worked.

We are based in the area of New Cross, Lewisham (halfway between Deptford and Peckham) which is close to a lovely park and family-friendly playgroups and cafes. We are within walking distance of the train stations at New Cross Gate, Queens Road Peckham and Nunhead and very close to various bus routes.

If you feel you are the right nanny for us, please send me a private message, along with your CV and a covering email/letter including your references (referees will not be contacted until after an interview and only with your permission).
