Planning the next film club for Sunday 23rd April to see 'Sense of an ending'. We will normally meet at Peckhamplex but this one is at Dulwich Picturehouse (if it's not on at the Plex).

I will confirm details in the week.

Forgive the intrusion, wondered if you might be interested in this? Helena et al?

First a disclaimer - I did create this app myself. I work in the film industry running my own PR company (2 of us) and then made this on the side as I wanted to try and fill a mobile app sized hole I had spotted. I live in ED and wanted to see if you might help me see how well the social aspect of the app works.

So what is it? It's called MyFilmClub and can be downloaded from here http://www.myfilmclub.co.uk or directly via iTunes and Google play on the links below. It's FREE best of all. It would be great if you could/would download and have a play. It includes film trailers, booking tickets (at Peckham Plex, Picturehouse, Ritzy and beyond), competitions (Baywatch one up now and a soundbar worth ?300 too), film event listings (like Rooftop Cinema at Bussey), film news. Best of all is the social aspect - you can create film 'clubs' with friends and invite friends and chat within it. You can find new friends and create another club to chat about sci-fi/horror or a 'Desperate Housewives of East Dulwich' or 'Forgotten Husbands of East Dulwich' style group - you name it. Then you can arrange to meet up and watch films with new friends.

I have created a Club in the clubs section called 'East Dulwich Film Club'. I wondered whether you might downlaod and join the club and start to chat?See what you think and let me know.

Below is the full PR about it which went out this week. Any questions let me know and thank you for your time reading. I hope you like it

?The first rule of MyFilmClub is: you DO talk about MyFilmClub?

Given the size and scope of the UK film industry, you'd think someone would've found a way to make cinema-going more connected by now. To have taken our national love of film and made it social.

Surprisingly not. Therefore, we introduce to you MyFilmClub? - the UK's first film lovers' app.

MyFilmClub? is the ultimate app for film buffs. It brings together finding films and booking tickets, ordering VOD and Blu-ray/DVDs, with the freedom to chat with friends, create film clubs, and arrange meet-ups. You can even organise your own screenings, find local cinema events or event cinema, enter competitions, catch up on the latest film news and receive notifications about when your favourite film has tickets on sale. It also includes the best bits of WhatsApp and Citymapper and smashes them into one app. Making the big screen properly accessible from your small screen for the first time.

Available to download on iPhone, iPad and Android now, MyFilmClub? makes the act of finding, seeing and sharing films easier, more sociable and more fun.

The first rule of MyFilmClub?? You DO talk about MyFilmClub?.

    • As megalaki84 never posted again with anything to substantiate their allegations, I think we can probably assume that they didn't actually get food poisoning from Love
    • Hello Megalaki84 ,   have you spoken to the restaurant about this the restaurant has never had this issue occur especially with 3 people at the same time i would be keen to see a health report based on this also if you can tell me date time you had come in and i can investigate this on your behalf as we have cameras in the kitchen to inspect our staff , our products are all labelled and thrown if out of date products especially when we have just recently been inspected by health and safety and have had 5 star rated.   i am not disputing that you have had food poisoning but its very unlikely this had been from us however i will be investigating this as a matter of duty as this is the last thing we want.   we have had thousands of customers and have no issues please feel free to direct message me details.   thanks, hakeem Thank you very much 🙏 Thank you for this sue i couldn’t agree with this more we make sure we have no out of date products and make sure we have a clean kitchen and front house to avoid any issues.
    • I agree on this point. I live in a one bedroom ground floor flat with a 2/3 bed flat above, should they build into the loft the negative impact below would be huge. Plus there is already only space (within the garden which is covered by the ground floor lease) for one wheelie bin per flat so unless Southwark decide to allow bins out on the pavements I am not sure where the additional waste produced by more residents will go! There are many things to consider when it comes to deciding on whether to grant planning permission that Southwark have never taken into account, hence the situation I guess they are in now.  From my point of view when part of the property is shared or owned by the freeholder in the case of flats I think the impact of extending, impact on any communal areas, space for bins etc should be taken into account. Every property is different so each case should be looked at differently. Look at some of the house being converted into 3 flats, they look very smart but now the tiny front gardens are full of bins, rubbish and bike sheds that must impact on the ground floor. Personally the appeal of living in a converted Victorian terrace dwindles when they become so small and crammed into a tiny house, might as well live in a purpose built block!
