Make you own coffin in solid oak!

I have just the thing for the cost conscious handyman with an eye to the after life - solid oak tongue and groove planks which will make a marvelous coffin at a fraction of the price of one from the undertakers. It is really quite easy.

To get you on the way, I have 30 metres length of solid oak boards which is enough to make two - one for you and the wife.

The wood is unstained so you can do anything from light oak all the way through to ebony

If you don't like that idea then it's enough to do your floor with an area of about 5.10 sq.metres.

What is the width and depth of the boards and what lengths do they come in?

Do you know what lacquer/finish is on the boards?

I'm interested in the wood for a project!

OK , here's the full spec - width =170mm and thickness 19mm

They had been lacquered on one side only.

Lengths is metres = 2.63, 2.70, 1.99, 2.18, 2.36, 2.40, 1.65, 1.57, 1.42, 1.97, 1.79, 1.31, 1.57, 1.64, 0.98, 1.09 1.08
