Hello everyone!

My name is Laura Higgins, I am a nnany who has worked in the area for 3years.

I am pleased to announce that I can provide LAMDA classes for ages 4+.

LAMDA is an excellent way for children to gain confidence, learn speaking in verse/prose, acting and lots more. The exams count as UCAS points and more info can be found at https://www.lamda.org.uk/examinations.

I currently have vacancies for pupils so please do get in touch. I am DBS checked, first aid trained and have a degree in Acting.

  Surely it has to be "the knocking shop" (1860s slang) as it is the oldest profession around 😅 It always surprised me that one used to operate on Bawdale Road, just around the corner from the old police station (so I've been told 🤭)

  I don't think the baths have been "in continuous operation"? They were closed for renovation. I can't remember exactly when, but I remember some "discussion" on here because the pool could/should have been made longer and/or deeper, and wasn't. Itv certainly has a relatively shallow deep end, and it's a pity that people can't dive
