Little Owls in Peckham Park/Peckham Rye

The Little Owls are doing their spring one note whoop at dusk in the tops of the trees. Easy to spot them before the leaves are out.

Kingfisher in the Japanese garden a few weeks ago, what a treat, but can't think where that came from. I expect it will get fed up eating sticklebacks.

I saw a kingfisher on Deptford Creek (probably just after it's turned into the Ravensbourne). Happiness.

Saw a kingfisher at the pond/lake in PR Park about seven or eight years ago, on the island in the centre. Let's hope there'll be more.

There is a picture of a kingfisher on some of the information boards in the park, and we were saying just the other day that we'd love to see one.

We did see a wren in the wildlife garden, but not quite the same!!!

Cheers we were looking nearer the pond, will have to have another look.

Have heard reports of foreign parrots being disguised as British kingfishers- -post Brexit we should be on our guard.
