DVMummy
This afternoon at about 6.10, a man tried to open my front (locked door). When my daughter made a sound he promptly left. He was an older white gentleman with grey hair in 'shabby' clothing. He made his way towards the direction of Sainsbury's.All very upsetting, you may have noticed thatI I posted that my daughter's bike was stolen from the flat about 2 months ago; after my daughter is coming out of her wheelchair. She is now petrified that something bad will happen. Thanks everyone x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/147470-man-tried-to-get-into-my-flat-this-evening-pytchley-road/ Share on other sites

JohnL
Did he looked confused - as 'wandering' is a well known symptom.(I had a neighbour who was pre-Alzheimers that would do thatand it caused all kinds of trouble as people aren't able tocope with it) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/147470-man-tried-to-get-into-my-flat-this-evening-pytchley-road/#findComment-1120296 Share on other sites
James Barber
Definitely a 999 call if a stranger tries entering your property. DVMummy
He wasn't wondering I don't think. He ran off as soon as he saw movement and my door is at the end of a drive so out of the way.I called the police but there was nothing they could do obviously. Stephieee
Might be worth getting some cameras. We'be got one on a shelf facing the room and out the front window and another for the windowsill to catch the front door. They were about ?25 each. We only got them to keep an eye on the dog when we're out as we had a stupid neighbour making formal complaints about "constant barking" on days we had all been at home and she was asleep but with all the robberies around here lately I'm so glad we did!
