new mother
Im afraid so. We had same issue, and my husband had to build a vertical post for the stairgate to attach to. We also had issues re height and width as the widest extending gates weren't wide enough. Anyway it ended up taking a day for a job most people do in an hour. Quite irritating but the price of beautiful staircases I reasoned.... njc97
We had similar problems so had to put ours all the way across the landing at top of stairs (I'm no good at describing but basically where the landing widens out, so about twice the width of stairs). You can buy extensions for our gate (lindam) and we ended up 2.5 times the normal width. ClareC
The roll out ones work too, think they are 1.3m wide. Quite expensive but very easy to fit :-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14701-pressure-stairgate-question/#findComment-390451 Share on other sites
nikki73
Thanks for the tips. I am going to check out the rollout ones I think. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14701-pressure-stairgate-question/#findComment-390532 Share on other sites
