lozzyloz
Just found this news item Sausage Makers to close after 130 YearsReading their reasons for shutting it sounds like they couldn't keep up with the times. Perhaps they should've focus on just producing sausages. Shame to lose those oldy worldy shop fronts. Brendan
Surely sausage makers could tap into the local markets with the whole traditional goodness is best type angle that William Rose have? ben
bagpuss78 and lozzyloz, thanks for the news, all be it sad. I guess it'll be a mad rush to stock up on the pork chips before the shops finally shut down, it's a pity as no other sausage seems to have that slightly spicy / caramelly combination. Oh the joys of a split Kennedy's pork sausageBen Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1468-kennedys-sausages/page/2/#findComment-40142 Share on other sites
David Mc
As fas as I'm concerned, the best sausages in the UK are from Biggles - and my favourites are the "California" ones - they're nice and spicy Sean! That's a lot to do with the fact that I'm on a gluten-free diet (it's medical not a faddy choice before anyone starts)! but that aside, they are seriously fantastic sausages! Slightly spicy and great for barbecue.mmmmm - you know me well young Mr McThe range sounds very similar to the sausage place in the vaults under London Bridge... could be suppliers I guess - I often stop off and pick some up from there Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1468-kennedys-sausages/page/2/#findComment-40155 Share on other sites

Michael Palaeologus
I would never buy a sausage from a shop - for gods sake.Go to the countryside (Penge for instance) and pick your own.
