bodsier
Having used a local nail salon recently, I feel compelled to post this. I have always been a bit dubious about them in terms of hygiene, seems I was right to be cautious, as I now have infections developing on some of my nails...please be cautious...http://m.wikihow.com/Inspect-a-Nail-Salon-As-a-Client Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/146745-nail-salon-hygiene-check/ Share on other sites
ianr
If you are moderately confident of the cause and want to be really helpful in reducing future harm to others, I think you ought to report this. According to http://www.2.southwark.gov.uk/info/200098/trading_standards/1462/1_information_for_consumers the prescribed route now seems to be via the national Citizens Advice, who then reportedly pass the information on to Southwark Trading Standards. If I took that route I would want to be given assurance that it was a continuing two-way communication, and that I would be able in due course to communicate with a Southwark employee or at least get feedback. One benefit of the CA route, assuming that they are a respectable descendant of the Citizens Advice Bureaux, is that they should probably also be able to provide advice, if you want it, on means of seeking compensatory damages from the salon -- in itself also a good way, imo, to encourage better practice in future.
