My daughter is playing Mary in her nursery nativity play (she was originally meant to be a camel but swapped with Kelly who wouldn't stay still :)) ), and has been asked to supply a baby doll to play the part of Jesus. We don't have any dolls at home, so I wondered if any of you kind folk have one that we could borrow until 16 December? Ideally I should collect one this morning to take into nursery today (bad mummy forgot and left it rather late, but I do have a new baby at home which is a bit distracting!). Thanks if anyone can help.

Well done to her, for getting the 'starring' role!! All downhill from here...

Why don't you just take the baby in for her - double whammy then she'll get bonus points for having the real thing and you'll get a day to yourself :))

And after that 'helpful' piece of advice, sorry, don't have a doll I can lend - the only one in our house is surgically attached to my 4 year old as he tries to do everything I do for A.

    • Under Section 3 of Criminal Law Act 1967 ANY PERSON may use such force as necessary in the prevention of crime or assisting in the arrest of offenders or suspected offenders. Key message is the force used must be proportionate.  Sadly many of these offenders carry knives (such as the two who stabbed people in Bishopsgate when bystanders intervened. The offenders were subsequently tracked down but it might have been a murder enquiry but for a few millimetres.) Therefore robust action should only be taken if you are confident. As per the previous post, your actions will be scrutinised but could be completely lawful.

    • Leon is a fantastic electrician. He's recently done a couple of jobs for us during a renovation. He's done them brilliantly. The standard of the work is exceptional - we've had some other electricians in who haven't done anywhere near as great a job. Also, he's brilliant at communicating about the job at hand in a clear and concise way. Would highly recommend!
    • Poundland on LL was/is badly run. It’s often too hot, the products sometimes lack price tags, the music is loud and cuts out every fifteen seconds so I can’t say I’m surprised but I’m sad it’s going.
