Is there a local(ish) business that would do just this? I don't need/want a whole refurb. And would you recommend them? I gave our local "Bells" a visit and experienced them as grumpy, reluctant to even serve me and not bothered about any new custom they might obtain. I would be grateful for any advice/comments.

Thank you.

Thank you Red Devil! Much appreciated.

Thank you too, TD. Again, very much appreciated. Have you used them or can you recommend?

And, PLEASE, no more self-recommendations from "builders" via PM please. I will delete them without responding. If you want me to take you seriously, then please post publicly so that folk may have the opportunity of commenting. Thanks.

We have just had our corian fitted by Mr worktop in Camberwell / sutton. I would def recommend them , they gave us quotes for various options and were far more cheaper then bells ( and far more pleasant to deal with ) The service was excellent - they came to measure on a Monday and fitted the worktop on a Thursday. We dealt with a guy called Denver in the sutton office - very nice and efficient
We do price ourselves on our customer service and I am sorry that is was not what you experienced. We would like to be given an opportunity to quote, please could you email me on info@bellsbathkit.co.uk or telephone with your requirements. Once again please accept our apologies.

Searching for a good bath and kitchen shop(s) with pleasant people to deal with. Happy to travel a bit for this as I have found Bells seriously lacking. On my first visit, staff were grumpy, stomping around and entirely disinterested in helping us, even though we require a new kitchen and two bathrooms. I thought maybe I had caught them on a bad day and went back. Second visit was just as bad. Any recommendations?

    • Naaah, it's rubbish - it would be a change of use so would need planning. https://www.planningdirect.co.uk/planningappeals/affordable-planning-applications/change-of-use/commercial-to-takeaway-change-of-use There's not enough footfall for a McDonalds, anyway, and they're quite picky about their sites
    • So let's never do anything that might improve an area, because it will just be dragged down to the level of what's presently there? Is that what you are saying? I don't have the time or the inclination to do the research, but I'm pretty sure that I have read  that when people who had lived in a very run down area  were given  nice surroundings, they appreciated and looked after them.
