Roadworks, diversions & temporary lights. Traffic not moving northbound on Dog Kennel Hill

They put a road maintenance block in there. Buses all stuck!

The signs on the parking suggest it is ongoing til 16th. There's no through route to Denmark Hill station or Kings. Buses were being sent right at the top of DKH. Very few people on my bus had any knowledge of it so guessing others might also be caught out!

Queue is all the way back up L Lane! As far as Lordship pub.

If anyone knows how to get hold of James Barber or someone? (I've just emailed him)

Bus driver says it's temp lights on Grove Vale.

I was on the first 40 bus not to be allowed down the hill to Denmark Hill station at 8.15. The driver had no idea he was on diversion til I pointed out the bollards they had put down blocking the road and he contacted the depot. None of the bus stops on the way down to DH station had any bus stop closed signed on them. I told anyone waiting that there were no buses. Great time to start resurfacing during a Monday morning rush hour when train strike is on!

I was at the lights at the top of the hill must of waited 10mins for lights to go green! no traffic in any direction was moving guess temp lights failed for all directions.

If you look on the TFL Traffic Status Updates website, these works still don't show up, but oddly enough they do if you change the date to 14 March 2017 (even though the start date of the works in the detail below is 13 March).

According to the site, these are not TFL works but "Borough" works, so presumably Southwark?:

How are the buses from Lordship Lane up to Denmark Hill now? I need to get to DH station this evening.

There were signs at the top of DKH explaining work was taking place and to expect delays. Plus, road laying equipment was parked by the bus stop at the top.

I hope they're relaying the tatty bus lanes.
