Cost of stall on Northcross Rd market

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the price of a stall on Northcross Rd market? I've had a look at the council website and it's not at all obvious. Also, I'd be grateful if anyone has any advice re applying for a food stall.

I see the Southwark Council website are still advertising stalls for Fridays. Just as a word of warning, take a look at the "market" on a Friday before committing. There is very little footfall.

There were no stalls there at all today.

Can you hire a stall ?

(ie. the actual stand/shelter)

So was I, but I imagine they vet what is sold or the place would end up like a car boot sale.

A car full of my stuff, much of it new, has just gone off to a charity shop. Been having a major clutter clear!

May not sit sweetly with the slightly-chipped 1970s cream-coloured colander and 'Captain' dining chair which 'needs work' to bring up to full robust usage !

As I understand it, there is a waiting list.. You cannot just hire a Pitch for a couple of weeks when it suits you

to sell off your personal clutter. You need to turn up week in week out or lose your Pitch.

Most people seem to have their own Stalls. You just hire the pitch. ??

Was a time when you just turned up on the day. (like a boot sale) Not any more.

I believe you need a Licence from Southwark Council. You may need liability insurance..

Do not know if the ?35.00 fee covers this.
