EDF Xmas Drinks - Friday 10th December 2010 @ The Lodge

Recommended Posts

From going to the EDF drinks over the past 2 years, I have made lots of great friends.

I thought it would be jolly good to continue the tradition of this gathering , especially with the merry festive season of Xmas coming up.

Xmas is time to meet up, drinks loads and be very very merry!:)-D

I spoke to Georgia and offered to be the organizer of these drinks and she gave me a firm (tu)!

I would also like a co-host and thought of my very good friend and neighbour , Ladymuck!

So the date is set for this on Friday 10th December 2010 from 8pm onwards at The Lodge on Lordship Lane. The Lodge is above the EDT.

Seconded.

Will do my best to be there (but it might be quite late if I do as I am travelling that date).

Awwwww Weegee, you are lovely...even though you mocked my Man. U scarf! But do you know what? You are doing SUCH a fabulous job here that I wouldn't dream of cramping your style, unless we agree here and now that co-hosting simply means I turn up, gossip, mess about, drink sambuca and get sozzled. How does that sound?

Anyway, you got the (tu) from the lovely Georgia - and, frankly, you couldn't have asked for a bigger and better accolade. Good on you dear friend for taking this on - a very courageous move indeed (as well as a hard act to follow). Of course, if you get stuck (but you won't), you only have to ask - but then you know that anyway.

So, here's to your first (I am hoping this won't be your last) organisation of the EDF Drinks. And I look forward to buying you an inaugural pint.

Cheers Weegee :)-D.

Hi LM

No you will never cramp my style...its a privilage to have nice neighbours like you living down my road.

You would never cramp my style..you would bring passion and energy to the party.

But I would draw the line at you wearing your Man U scarf...and Im sure Ladygooner would agree with me on that!!

Thanks Karter...we look forward to seeing you there!

I can KO at 6 seeing as I was very late for Georgias last drinks.....if that helps. Doubt the Lodge will be open but. Happy to wait downstairs in the EDT for further instruction and or direction!

6-7 Bar Story Happy Hour has never let me down so may do that to liberally apply a base coat prior to the 8 start. May see what other friends are upto and get them involved as well. That will ensure a "quiet" night for all.

The Xmas silly season will be in full swing by the 10th so look forward to a good evening.

    • Hello everyone, It's been a long time since I posted on here and I just wanted to update the situation. I remain active and available for haircuts. I am a home-visit hairdresser based in SW London. It's been a long time since I posted on here and I just wanted to update the situation. I remain active and available for haircuts. Some of you know me already. I posted a while back so I just want to re-introduce myself. I have been working as a hairdresser for the past 20 years (I'm 50, I trained at Vidal Sassoon and had a salon of my own, Top To Toe in Morden Jan 2000-Dec 2004) but now I just do freelance cutting hair for clients in their homes. I am available to answer queries if anyone has any? My speciality is cutting - men, women and children. I do have colour expertise so can advise but I do not colour hair at home. Thank you. There may be members of the forum who remember me coming to their home to do their hair in the 1990s! I have used the forum for a long time, as well also the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) newsletters back in the day. I have many clients with babies - it's one of the many reasons that people choose a home hairdresser. I always allow an hour and a half just in case there are interruptions in the haircut so that we are under no pressure. Finally I always make a policy to mention to new clients that I am transgender woman. I transitioned in 2009 and have reached the point when I "look" perfectly acceptable (I think, There is a profile photo which is up-to-date) however I make a point of being open about my history. If you are OK with that then I would be happy to cut your hair at your earliest convenience. My practice is that you do not wash your hair before I see you and I bring all equipment and styling products with me. All you need is shampoo and conditioner. p.s. If you do look at my website, I happen to be an artist and my website reflects that rather than hairdressing. Victoria Cantons
    • That's amazing nobody was seriously hurt, but good, obviously!
    • Vladi, you are wrong. The single wheel tag axle is fitted at the rearmost, behind the twin wheel, driven axle. This is obvious from photos of the upturned vehicle.
