buddug
Just testing the water here. Would anyone - men or women who never cook, young or old - appreciate basic lessons in learning to make delicious yet quick and simple meals chez moi, with eating of meal to finish? Especially those who might wish to impress their partners, or who are fed up of shelling out a fortune on ready meals. ?30 for half an hour of practical tuition, including health and safety, and half an hour or more to eat, with a thrown-in glass of wine, and hopefully a bit of fun and laughter. I only ask as I was someone who had no idea of how to cook as I was never interested in my Mum's attempts at lessons. So I had to learn very quickly when I left home, being someone who loved good wholesome food. Any feedback welcome. civilservant
Good luck, buddug! what i've been trying to find locally are cookery lessons during half-term for teenage daughter.there are none locally, and all those up in town are expensive/fancy stuff (Leith school type)i imagine that's a niche market as well, although it would involve quite a bit of prep and admin to organise! stringvest
Lots of the supermarkets do quite good meal deals - dine in for two ?10 I had bottle of sauvignon blanc, "luxury" shepherds pie, parmentier potatoes, choc caramel desert. Some of the curries are delicious and not worth faffing about yourself with pestle etc. I think they do cooking lessons reasonably priced at night school. One lesson was very busy just doing microwave lessons for elderly widowers! Then there's environmental health, kitchen hygiene, health and safety, public liability ... what if a poor soul is clumsy or poisons themselves?? Loz
One or two messages about your new business might have slipped through, shafiq, but spamming the board with 14 messages sin't going to end well. shafiq
Sorry - Didn't know it was against the rules. Will read and abide. Apologies no intention to do something not allowed.
