Tanza
If you are the middle-class dad who thought it was alright for his young teenage kids to spray orange juice* over my window sills in Melbourne Grove last night feel free to come round and wipe it off it off. You stood there, chatted to us in a friendly manner and then let your kids accept chocolate (what bit of trick OR treat don't you get?)from us. And then this is what we find in the morning, on a working morning when we could do without it.*edited to add "possibly not even organic" (OK, know I am having a sense of humour failure, but am really irritated) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14075-halloween-ba-humbug/ Share on other sites
Mark
How did you know he was middle class? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14075-halloween-ba-humbug/#findComment-377760 Share on other sites
Alex K
That's a shame, Tanza. Experiences like that, anecdotes like that, put everyone off trick-or-treating.You must have been in a rush when posting -- did you see the kids doing the spraying? -- sorry not to follow. Kapt.Kopter
and how do you know it was the same kids? if you were talking to the father when did they commit this hideous crime? Curmudgeon
If you saw them do it why didn't you say something? If you didn't see them do it how do you know it was them? Tanza
Agree it's hardly a 'hideous crime' but to answer you Curmudgeon and Kapt KopterWe only had four sets of trick or treaters and my small son spent the evening peeping out of the windows hoping someone would come.Unlike the others, this group didn't come straight to the door, but rustled about treading on the cardboard packaging in front of my windows, before they got round to ringing the bell. The other three groups (who I also know) rushed straight up the path. BB100
Not quite as bad as the kids who threw egg and flour on the doorstep and my 85 year old gran slipped and fell. *Bob*
We were out of treats, so we had to go with the trick. Awoke to discover a Boden catalogue smeared with Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream on the doorstep. anapau
well they ran off when the door broke, luckily because the two of us wouldn't have been able to do anything apart from hide and call the police if the gang had come storming in...
