I am a TV and Film PR and also the Director of a Literature Festival who is looking to offer an internship in my office in West Dulwich. The role would suit an arts and literature loving school leaver, recent graduate or student with good organisational and IT skills.

Ever wanted to know how major broadcasters run media campaigns for high profile TV dramas or how literature festivals attract Booker prize winning authors? Now is your chance!

The role would include a mixture of administrative work, as well as some involvement in the day to day programming of the literature festival and work on a portfolio of TV drama projects.

It is a good, work experience opportunity.

The rate of pay would be in keeping with that of an intern. However, no prior experience would be necessary. The hours would not be full time. A passion for books, theatre, film and TV plus awareness of news and media is essential.

Please tender your interest via email to [email protected]. Your application should include no more than 100 words, and should state:

Name and address

Desired hours of work and availability.

A brief summary of education;

and any relevant experience, even if unpaid.

Suitable applicants will be contacted in due course

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

    • I don't mind getting the ball rolling, but there would have to be more organisers than just me 🤣 I've got more than enough to do already. Also as I often don't recognise faces or remember names, I wouldn't be an ideal person (though in the old days, we had labels with our forum names on, if memory serves)  Sorry admin, I've gone well off topic.
    • There was a brief discussion on the Lounge about the good old days of the Forum and the drinks where people with differing views seemed to get on fine with each other.  Can't find it or I would give you the link @Earl Aelfheah or @Sephiroth I think one of you had said something along these lines.  Yes go for it Sue!
    • Great idea! Yes, I think the SE22 curry club died a death. The restaurants were all much of a muchness at the time anyway, apart from Ganapati. Nyge and I were also recently  discussing whether people would be interested if we restarted  the Forum Drinks. They used to be fun, but I think the main organiser moved out of the area, as did some others,  and nobody else was very keen on taking it on.  Unless they are still happening covertly 🤣 If memory serves they were monthly, and in a different pub each time. It was good to be able to meet people in real life who post on the forum. I might start a separate thread at some point to see if anyone would be interested.
