Saw Trump by chance as his cavalcade came up the M11. For once something to thank Michael O'Leary for (yet another late arrival Ryanair). He didn't wave, in fact unlike our monarch I couldn't even see into his car.

Lots of armoured vehicles and police outriders though.

Umhhh, I would judge that as quite well handled by Trump, probably one of his better interviews. Seamlessly moves from Brexit to his own election. And yes immigration was the main reason for Brexit. Generally poorly informed of course. Think there would be greater merit in showing clips of people in the UK sticking up for him (not Farage who also handles this well) but Reece Mogg......

He probably stated it in words she could understand- because she sure as hell did not heed his more detailed advice earlier on....

Khans excuse for allowing the puerile baby trump to fly- 'it's not my role to be a censor'....what a hypocrite after he banned all bikini ads on the underground within weeks of taking office!

It's a pity all you naysayers do not read what Trump has achieved whilst in office......still you lot never did like the truth

One achievement Uncle, just one thing that has made America or the world a better place. Just one.

And why should she?

You don?t like Khan as a person. Your entire view of him is tainted by that fact.

Job growth rates in the US are actually slowing now. The whole healthcare debate is sill raging and he?s embroiled in a tariff war with China. These are the actions of someone who is determined to shake things up and like a snow globe we are a long way from seeing where the dust will settle. The USA is a remarkably fractured society socially and racially, and he seems reluctant to drain the swamp as much as he promised too so this seems unlikely to change. By far the highest driver of equality is a *lack* of mistrust and bigotry, leading to a level playing field, something the USA manifestly lacks. America is far from being the land of milk and obey for all its citizens.

However, pretty much everything he has done is domestic US policy and as such very much their business and not ours. Internationally he?s been a much more divisive figure and has failed to actually deliver much. His summit with Putin will be an interesting test.

As far as the truth is concerned, you seem to only be on speaking terms with it when it conforms to your narrow little echo chamber, so I?m not sure I?m taking lectures from you there.

Do you disagree with this and if so why?

The dangerous achievement IMHO is he has destabilised what is called recently "the rules based international system" meaning that something else can be readied to take over. This is what Change Managers do - break down the old system before establishing the new.

You suspect any new system won't be good looking at history.

Given what we know about Trump's character, I'm guessing it's more likely to be something personal which if it was publicised (ie any evidence for it) would make Trump look bad.

In 1983 I went for an interview as a medical products rep. The chap posed a question - you've got the trots and take some of our product. It doesn't work.

A pharmacist you are trying to sell to asks you how good the product is. What do you say?

It's brilliant I say.

Integrity young person, integrity. I'd never used that word before but it has stuck with me for 35 years.

Trump. Integrity. WTF

To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!

    • I don't think there are stupid questions Sue.  There are informative questions, policy questions, normative questions.... You suggest to do a sort of survey! Interesting idea but not for me as I have other priorities and if I do not address these with NHS doctors I will go, once again, privately.  In any case as many people using this forum know, GP surgeries in England offer at present services that in most cases do not and cannot cover matters that are under the remit of secondary care - for instance rheumatologists clinics in hospitals. If the dismantlement of NHS England will bring possible positive changes also in primary care with more choices for people  I do not know but I would really hope so because at the moment lot of people with chronic rheumatic conditions  fall into the cracks  of he system, that means are not seen by NHS rheumatologists that have long queues and cannot be cured by GPs neither in most cases, even when (I am sure about this and I would like to know more) there are physicians and local GPs fully qualified and experts to do such jobs even if they are not rheumatologists!    Thank you for your time Sue and by the way  if you do any survey like the one you mentioned please let us know.
    • There was a thread about this a year ago that included a post from the new owners. Be great to have an update - nothing seemed to be happening when I walked by last week. https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/343709-kenro-press-empty-shop-forest-hill-road/#comment-1662773
    • And don't the Veolia collection teams wear uniforms with Southwark Council logo on them...this might explain why the councillors were so keen to point out the lorry wasn't operated by the council because if you saw a load of people clambering out of the cab of a lorry one that just rolled wearing clothing emblazoned with the council logo you might think it was being operated by the council. The Helen Hayes reference is weird as well it was almost as if the councillor post was: this is awful, nothing to do with us, speak to Helen.
