ST&NLY
The beatles, were four blokes who travelled together, worked together, had good times, bad times, just like any other group of friends. If they had beef between each other, then it was their business and not for us to name call or to pre judge what happened or who is wrong or right. They gave us a good music, can't stand it when people have to get on their high horse and make judgements on people who they never met or spoken too. aquarius moon
I Love all the Beatles, but there is really no comparison between Paul McCartney & John Lennon.McCartney is a great songwriter, average singer...............John Lennon is a legend, and always will be. When he died, musically, something died too and nothing will ever replace him. Peckhamgatecrasher
Just watched an documentary on BOTR - McCartney sycophantically interviewed by Dermott O'Leary. In 40 odd minutes, the musical knight managed not to make a reference to Denny Laine once. Ooh - I'm seething. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14043-sir-paul-mccartney/page/2/#findComment-378086 Share on other sites
Jah Lush
He probably didn't mention Jimmy McCullough either but why would he need to? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14043-sir-paul-mccartney/page/2/#findComment-378289 Share on other sites
Jeremy
For a while the guy was seen as a bit of a joke, but I think the public have warmed to him post Heather Mills. And people have started to realise that perhaps Wings weren't really all that bad. Peckhamgatecrasher
Because he was in Wings from first to last, and more importantly was the other person, along with Linda, who recorded BOTR in Lagos. McCullough, English, etc, were in the group for certain periods but were not formative in BOTR.See how miffed I am - I've started a sentence with because! Jah Lush
I think he was a teenage crush PGC and that's why you're so miffed. Am I right or an I right? Peckhamgatecrasher
Completely wrong. Harrison was my crush which led on to a love of guitarists generally. Laine studied flamenco which gave him a certain je ne sais quoi, but never a pash. Ridgley
I always thought that Lennon was the better song writer in the band. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14043-sir-paul-mccartney/page/2/#findComment-378634 Share on other sites
