giggirl
I'm no fan of McCartney and I didn't see him on TV but as regards too much botox, he's not the only one is he? Kylie, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Kidman, Katie Price, Madonna - to name but a few. All of them have had way too much work. Its ageist and it's unattractive. Personally I don't see the harm in a little bit but there are a lot of people crossing the line and they look like dummies in a shop window. Nothing wrong with a few wrinkles - they're perfectly normal and they can be very attractive. Conversely, a face devoid of all character isn't in the least bit sexy.I don't think there's anything at all wrong with wanting to look good for your age, but trying to look younger than your age is a fool's game. ????
He's always struck me as ok, whereas John Lennon always seemed to come over as a chippy nasty piece of work...and personally I don't think there's that much difference in their creative output although I marginally prefer Lennon's post Beatles stuff to McCartney's. *Bob*
McCartney's only crime (Frog Chorus aside) was not getting shot.. and being relatively normal. Lennon, on the other hand, was well on the way to being a complete arse by the start of the 70's. MrBen
He's a bit "cool Dad" what with his clothes, purple tinged hair and that weird thing he does *waves hands to each side...cocks head...suprise!* But he is a bone fida legend. Has written more brilliant songs than just about anyone. And delivered the goods with an immaculate 3 hour long set at Hyde Park this summer. I went slightly cynical but happy to put the botox to one side after that. Atticus
Beatles aside, don't forget Wings. Band on the Run, his best work outside the Fab Four. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14043-sir-paul-mccartney/#findComment-377423 Share on other sites

Jah Lush
I don't understand why he has re-released Band On The Run. It was a crap album then and it's an even bigger turkey now. Ram was his best album. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14043-sir-paul-mccartney/#findComment-377605 Share on other sites
RosieH
Look, it's not big and it's not clever, and I don't even feel guilty about it. I will go to my grave loving Mull of Kintyre. In fact, I'm going to look for it on Spotify right now. flapjackdavey
It wasnt his best , it was a good album though I think Mr Lush . I tend to think certain albums get praise and other stuff often gets overlooked , for example, Ram iswhich is brilliant , and "McCartney" is too ..... Red Rose Speedway is a good'n too.
