phili
Every few days after work, when I reach my doorstep, a friendly cat brushes beside me. It is the friendliest Cat I've ever met. It has a Beige/Brown coloured fur and is so.. cute. This morning. I was just off my way to work when I saw a dead cat in the middle of the pavement. I think it was the cat that always greeted me. I was very sad to see it lying there. It seemed it was brutally attacked. Not sure if it was a Fox. It felt weird walking home in the dark, on this street.Though I don't know who owns the cat, I feel a genuine lost and sad to see it go. pommie
was there no way you could have taken the cat to a vet to check if it was microchipped. Also its very rare that a fox will attack a cat in this way Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13905-cat-on-grove-hill-road/#findComment-374599 Share on other sites
Jeremy
Mate, it's a bit much to expect a person to take a dead cat to the vets. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13905-cat-on-grove-hill-road/#findComment-374661 Share on other sites

jollybaby
My dad put our childhood pet in a skip at work. We've never forgiven him. Not sure that's the recommended way of disposing of dead felines though. peckhamboy
Not really the season now but barbecues work well. The fur burns off eventually, but keeps the meat nice and tender while it's cooking. Works best with a spicy marinade. The Minkey
"what do you do with dead cats?"If it were a stranger cat, I suppose you'd call the Council - the same as if you were to find a dead fox - making sure it wasn't actually on your property otherwise they charge. Pearson
On a serious note:Why oh why can't you just put it in the bin cat or fox..?I mean do we really need to waste peoples timeby calling 'specialists' out to do this for us.Just seems like a waste of council resources and tax payers money. DJKillaQueen
We are talking about someone's much loved pet here. Someone who will be worried sick wondering where their cat is.Personally I would have bagged it and taken it to a local vet. They would check for a chip and then freeze the body until the owner decided what they wanted to do. If there were no chip then all vets use a general cremation service for disposal of animals respectfully. DJKillaQueen
Personally I'd bury a dead fox, if I could find somewhere to bury it. But that's not always possible. Pearson
After some extensive research. I have discovered that you should be posting threads of this nature in the WANTED section-" All items lost and found, including cats"Doesn't mention dead? So you should be ok ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13905-cat-on-grove-hill-road/#findComment-374723 Share on other sites

cate
Sounds like the cat was hit by a car and then managed to reach the pavement before he/she died.
