Double Room to rent - off Lordship lane - Early-Mid Feb

We are sadly losing our housemate of 3 years and are looking for someone new to share our beautiful house in East Dulwich. We live in a quiet road just off Lordship Lane, with its great pubs, shops, and restaurants. Regular buses to central London, or a short walk to East Dulwich station, mean we are well served for transport.

The room is a great size which comfortably fits a double bed and wardrobe while still allowing plenty of floor space. It looks out on to our south-east facing garden, giving it lots of natural light in the mornings and offers peace and quiet away from the road. The room comes with the double wardrobe pictured (and bed frame if wanted).

You'll be moving in with two guys, both 30 years old, who enjoy going to the pub, watching films, Saturday brunch, and making terrible yet hilarious jokes. Mike is a procurement manager working in Farringdon, and Nick is a Neuroscientist working in Kings College Hospital.

The share is ?650 per month (plus bills). Deposit required is ?900, plus a one-off ?200 referencing fee to the letting agent.

We're really looking forward to meeting our new housemate, and hoping to make a final decision by 22nd Jan with an eye to you moving in early to mid February. If this sounds like a great opportunity (and it is!) please get in touch soon and we'll arrange a viewing.

    • Skateboarding is so misunderstood...it is more technical than ballet and the use of drink is not very compatible with a  practise that requires rare dedication and degrees of skill and coordination impossible with alcohol and for most people... impossible at any time. The mutual support and encouragement in that culture is something to be valued.   My Godson's friend had just taken his life which really put things into perspective for me. being trapped alone in a bedroom instead is not great for mental health...   think of the access previous generations had to no mans land.     London has always been a place where wealthy corporate areas remain next to areas of interesting creativity.  The skateboarders beneath south bank centre have a constant audience of tourists;  places like that keep London from becoming stagnant and cold.
    • Another endorsement for Greg. I called him first thing after water started dripping through my kitchen light fitting. He came straightaway, immediately understood the issue and fixed it. Incredibly efficient, neat and tidy, and charged a competitive rate. Will definitely be calling him again and would highly recommend.
    • Because . ...? What would your unromanticised film version of the skate park be? Are you saying that what it portrays is wrong in some way?
    • If memory serves me right, it wasn't vandals, it was either council or landowners.
