Hello

I'm having a little exhibition of some oil paintings at Jeannie Avent on North Cross Road. Opening is on Thursday at 6pm. Prosecco and some home made Torte too. All welcome! Hope to see you there. More details below. Thanks.

For her exhibition at Jeannie Avent, Alessandra Sormani will show a series of oil paintings based on photographs. The title 33 was the age when she began painting the series, which together forms a fragmented autobiography of the previous two years of her life.

  Who is signing the petition? If they are real people, entitled to vote in the UK, guess what? Mainly Tory and Reform voters. Not really a surprise. And the opposition have not done themselves any favours with the new leader and others signing it. Move on, and come back in four years when we have the next GE.

  How would you have phrased the letter then? And what are these services they provide that "people pay for in droves that commercially justify keeping it open"? If keeping it open was commercially justified, then presumably they wouldn't be considering closing it. Have I misunderstood you?

  Non-tribal? James was an excellent councillor, but he was Lib Dem. Is that not "tribal", then? And what are your reasons for thinking the "Labour incumbents" are not sensible or committed? And what on earth has any of that got to do with locks?!
