Upholstery of armchairs.

We have not been able to find armchairs that we like for out lounge and are considering have our existing chairs re upholstered. They are Parker Knole type chairs without the wings and with open sides. Has anyone had their old chairs re upholstered locally? approximate price per chair and can they be collected from our house? Recommendations please if any - need to figure out whether this would be a cost effective measure.
