uncleglen
I saw a visi-vested delivery man lob a brown cardboard (looked like Amazon) box over a double back gate in Crystal Palace Road a few doors along from the yellow shop. Soon afterwards it started raining..... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137639-dodgy-deliveries/ Share on other sites

Rosetta
Maybe that was their 'safe' place. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137639-dodgy-deliveries/#findComment-1090684 Share on other sites
Loz
Are you sure it wasn't Yodel? That seemed to be their modus operandi. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137639-dodgy-deliveries/#findComment-1090815 Share on other sites
Rosetta
Have had delivery people leave items on my front step, so lobbing it over a back gate seems secure to me. Otta
But if they have said on Amazon "leave it behind the side gate", that's up to them. Can't blame the delivery guy. Obviously we don't know that that's the case, but there's every chance it is. It wasn't there when I got home.It contained a book entitled something like "How to get things for free" :))Another time I returned home to a delivery slip saying "Your parcel is in the bin."It was.Luckily it wasn't rubbish collection day :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137639-dodgy-deliveries/#findComment-1091069 Share on other sites
Phlox
Had a pet food delivery company put a huge bag of dog food under my front window kind of behind a plant. It wasn't hidden at all though, as anyone who came up the path could see it.And on Christmas Eve morning, Royal Mail put a package in my recycling box, the old style one. No note through the door though. And I was in. I only noticed it when I came out and it was on the path. Thought it was kids mucking about. Went to move it and felt the weight of the package.
