Sally Eva
Gloomy but mild: that's the weather forecast for Saturday's social cycle ride. It starts from Peckham Square at 10am -- meeting on arc-shaped bench at the foot of the steps. The route is circular going south, uphill for a while over Telegraph Hill. Then down to the Waterlink Way at Brookmill Park. The only positive thing about going uphill (apart from the view) is coming down again. Then along National Route 21, over Halfpenny Bridge (LCN 2)(what a delightful name) and on to the Cutty Sark. There will be a brief break there before returning along the river. We will cross the new swing bridge, and then follow Quietway 1 to Surrey Canal Rd. By now we are ready to turn south towards Peckham again. We follow the lovely path across Bridgehouse Meadows followed by the dreadful non-crossing of Old Kent Rd to Brimmington Park. Then quietish roads and path to Peckham Square. For route see http://goo.gl/maps/GkEuB. Everyone is welcome. Bruce will be leading and he is on 07729 279 945-- Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/137131-first-social-cycle-ride-of-2017-sat-jan-7th/ Share on other sites
