Dead fish

Two largish dead fish on the pavement on Lacon Rd this morning. Quite fresh looking,whole and un-nibbled. Odd, I thought. High tide?

Cats raiding a local garden pond? My sisters cat used to do this. Emptied an entire pond of very expensive Koi carp in 2 weeks.

Perhaps they were out for a walk? Fish have short memories and so woudln't have remembered their inability to breathe out of water. Just be thankful they weren't driving at the time.

Don't be silly, fish don't drive, they use feminists' bicycles. Or something. I've not thought this through.

Probably dropped out of somebody's bag who was looking forward to them for their supper.

What sort of fish were they?

Maybe they were flying fish trying to beat the southern train strike but ran out of fish food before they reached their destination !
