Pull The Other One is an extraordinary evening with acts bizarre, humorous and delightful.

Most comedy shows nowadays are just a string of stand-ups with occasionally, an odd act thrown in. Vivienne and Martin Soan?s monthly Pull The Other One club at the Ivy House is old-style variety mingled with comic performance art and never short of the unexpected and bizarre. It?s no surprise that Pull The Other One attracts a varied audience including artists, musicians and celebrities in search of an inspirational night out themselves.

?I will be coming back here as much as I can? Omid Djaili

?Performing at this club was the 17th highlight of my life? Arthur Smith

    • That seems really odd. Was it really after just one complaint to the council? Do the council have a say in the cinema's policies? You would think that if the Picture House agreed that this change in policy was reasonable, they would apply it to all their cinemas. What is the upper age of the children at the baby friendly showings, or is one not specified? I'm not sure how I feel about the actual policy, I'm just surprised about why and how it has apparently been implemented.
    • There’s another one in Brixton open 24 seven I don’t think the insurance thing can be a problem
    • The staff in there told me about today, as I went in the ask what happened to the schedule. They don’t have anything official written up.  please feel to email them inquiring about the issue and or complain.  [email protected]   customerservice[at]picturehouses.co.uk I for one was really looking forward to seeing some films in the coming months.
    • I was about to post the very same thing!   Good points, and I wonder how  these issues are resolved in the skate park in Peckham Rye park? The park has closing times when the gates are supposed to be locked, but in practice they don't always seem to be locked when they should be. I don't know why - possibly staff absence? There is also a skate park on the South Bank - I wonder how  the insurance and/or safety issues are addressed here. Presumably the place is open for skating 24/7,  as there wouldn't seem to be any way to close it?
