1 year old making herself sick

My 1 year old girl has taken to shoving her fingers down her throat. Today she vomitted twice after doing this. Does anyone else know of this problem, or how to stop it?

My daughter also did this when she was 1,it didn't last very long. She is nearly 3 now and I can only say that the sight of readybreak,or mushy food makes her gag!!needless to say she doesn't stick around when im feeding my 9 month old son. I would say that it's a phase they go through,maybe im wrong!!

Could it be related to tooth or ear pain?
