WANTED:Short let furnished house in February for family in SE19

Hi all, I posted this in another forum also but am spreading the word..

We're currently in a crappy situation where we have to be out of our rental house of the past 5 years by the end of January but likely to have nowhere to move into thanks to our house purchase being delayed 4 zillion times (since May!!) and seemingly nowhere near completion.

Does anyone happen to know of any short-let furnished 2-bed house rentals (2 month max hopefully) in the SE19 Upper Norwood/Gipsy Hill/CP Triangle area from late-January/early Feb suitable for a family of 4?..!

To add a sprinkle of more stress into the mix, both our children (one nearly 4yrs, the other 10 months) start a brand new nursery full-time on 4th Jan on Harold Road near our supposed new house and I return to work full-time on the 25th.

We're currently in Honor Oak Park and would love not to move out of rented house but have pushed our notice back so many times (the epic saga of this house-buying is a soap opera storyline) that our landlady now has a new tenant signed unfortunately.

Any advice muchly appreciated and pls PM if you can help as I don't actively check my threads but do receive notifications of PMs.

    • How can a supermarket "run out of gas"? Was that a joke? The Metro article is referring to the central gas supply, surely? Which hasn't actually run out yet.   I said "local" press. And the reason would be that the bad publicity might push Sainsbury's head office to improve what sound like presently appalling conditions for their DKH staff to work in. Yes of course there are terrible things happening all over the world. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to change things which we might be able to have an immediate impact on locally.
    • What good would it do reporting it to the press? If one thinks it is a major issue, just for a moment, think about the hardship in cities in Ukraine where residents  are lucky to get one hour of electricity a day and where water is not being pumped to residential blocks.
