Emerson Crane
What a shame, he was great in the 70's with Roger Moore in The Persuaders, great theme tune as well by John Barry Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13556-rip-tony-curtis/#findComment-366741 Share on other sites
giggirl
PeckhamRose - big TC fan. What a shame. Some Like It Hot with Jack Lemmon - he was brilliant in that. dita-on-tees
He was wonderful in Some Like it Hot. I still love the scene where he feigns a lack of feeling to get Marilyn to kiss him, deceptive maybe, but oh so charming. jalapeno
Mine has to be 'The Prime Target' followed by 'The Immortals', such competent acting skills manifested in both films. jalapeno
Must check that one out Netta, Kirk's far better appealing to the eye than his sibling 'long chin', that is Michael. jalapeno
You embark on an interesting point there, problem with too many lookalikes, one can only be left in confusion in the face of so much speculation... I guess you've aged well to know the game. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13556-rip-tony-curtis/#findComment-366823 Share on other sites
Moos
I have indeed aged remarkably well, thank you for the kind compliment, and look as dewy and fresh-faced as ever I did. But Michael Douglas is certainly Kirk's son. Here is a rather sweet photo of him aged 4-ish with his father, wot I got from his Wikipedia entry. jalapeno
I really hope he won't be devastated to find out all that plastic surgery has left him looking older than his own father, Good heavens!my commiserations Mike. Axeman
I honestly don't mean to be inflammatory here, but it never ceases to amaze me how and why people start shedding tears over complete strangers. waynetta
It's sad about Michael Douglas having throat cancer. Especially as apparently it could have been diagnosed much earlier. I think he looks ok for his age and I've always thought his films were pretty good. waynetta
Today is also the 50th anniversary of the Flinstones and on the radio today they mentioned that Tony once appeared in it as 'Stony Curtis'. I think I remember that one too. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13556-rip-tony-curtis/#findComment-366934 Share on other sites
