Hi there, apologies in advance for the mostly non family related post,

Not sure if anyone will be able to help but I am trying to grow my jewellery brand at the moment and am interested in anyone that can either reccomend or give advice on the success of using a pr and/or sales agent. I have recently gone back to work and it's looks my job is going to go a pear shaped so I think it's finally time to concentrate on what's going to work for me and my family.

Any advice gratefully received.

Hi,

I work in PR but more the boring corporate stuff so can't give you any practical advice I'm afraid. however, I'd say that PR has had a beneficial effect on several ED companies, so you have some good precedents. E.g. roullier white has had coverage in some national magazines and newspapers - and I know when I mentioned this to them they said their PR was v good. So might be worth asking some local business owners round here about their experiences and if they can recommend a PR?

What I will say as a PR is that if done properly, it can be very good value for money. I'm sure there are plenty PR people on this forum so maybe there's someone who's more consumer-orientated who could advise you further.

    • if anyone believes Reform is a party they can trust then they really don't need to be insulted by me - they are doing all the damage themselves If people don't like the state the country is in they should question why Farage fought for Brexit and why it continues to damage the country so much. He and you will splutter it wasn't done properly but if you can't see the contradictions I can't help you
    • It's not incredibly difficult to understand that people vote Reform because they don't want the Tories back and they don't like Labour and they don't like the state the country is in. It hardly makes them "criminally negligent" - in fact, Sepiroth,  you can just stop insulting people just because you don't like what they have to say - it doesn't really add to your credibility. While Sep says "What the country needs is a serious, mature electorate", what the country REALLY needs is a party that we can trust - and that we do not have.  There is no point at all in having a serious and mature electorate if we don't have a serious and mature party to get vote for.
    • mine's the same - use shears, then mow, but I only do a part of the lawn - the rest is covered in daisies, violets and other flowers, so I leave it. I have to be very careful though - we have slow worms
    • I'm watching a neighbours lawn where the grass is hourly increasing in height .Wondering how on earth they are going to tackle cutting it .
