Does Southwark Council sell compost?

I know other councils do, but not Southwark as far as I know. But they certainly should do.

Just rung the Council - they said that if you "go to Manor Place" they should be able to sort you out. No other information was offered. TBH it is probably less hassle for me to get it from the gardening centre.

The Poundshop next to Lidl sells cheap compost of the local authority kind - just add some chicken poo pellets and things grow like old-buggery in my experience.

Yes, I saw bags of compost at the dump/recycling centre at Manor Place when last we were dropping off some stuff. Don't know how much they charge for it.

(It's on Manor Place, off Walworth Road, if you haven't been there before)

They will come and deliver but only if you order an awful lot of it. Like a lorry load. Can you club together with neighbours for a big cheap delivery? You don't live near the top of Upland Road do you, by any chance? :))
