Wanted: solicitor with a stamp

Is anyone local able to sign/certify a form we need to send to the US? They seem to want a stamp on it. Can offer bottle of wine in return?

Hall &Co up b y the Plough/library are very helpful ,doubt they'd charge more than the cost of a bottle of wine .

I think they charged me ?6 when I had to swear an oath .

When I had to certify documents for a legacy, I used the Post Office service which was accepted by the receiving solicitor for probate. You could see if the US side would accept this option.

If they want a stamp, then it's best to ensure that they will accept a UK Solicitor's stamp

Frequently US legal processes require that a Notary Public verifies your documents/identity.

Hopefully your circumstances may be such that you only need a UK Solicitor's stamp, but in my case I spent a long time;

1. Getting documents witnessed by a solicitor

2. Waiting for the documents to get to their destination, then

3. Reproducing the documents & taking them to a Notary Public :-(

4. Then waiting for the new documents to get to the same destination...
