KidKruger
Sean - I'm humbled..I will pop in later and grab some (green/red) Barry's tea, and whilst I'm at it I may just as well get the other brands, Yorkshire and red Typhoo. Banish the weak teabag blues once and for all. HAL9000
The fact that bulk tea prices are at historical highs may have also led manufacturers to dispense less tea into each teabag in order to maintain retail prices? Banish the weak> teabag blues once and for all.Yorkshire comes in different types, be warned. You might get confused. A friend of mine who lives in France always buys it as she feels one bag makes enough for two cups. She always uses a teapot to make her tea as she feels using one bag in a mug is a waste. It certainly is considering the tea in France is dire. KidKruger
Hal this was one of my fears - we're getting less for our cash which means the cup of tea is no longer a cup of tea is it.It's a (say) 83% cup of tea.cate - this really IS turning into a bit of a science, but hey it will be worth it and withered pasty tips will be a thing of the past. cate
The other tea I like but haven't bought in a while is the Marks and Spencer teabags which come in a blue box. The Typhoo one doesn't have any bitterness to my mind. It all depends on how strong you like it as to how long to leave in. I like medium to strong. candj
I second Barry's tea as being the best. Perfect strength and perfect cup of tea. Only tea we have in the house!* and no I don't work for them or the Irish shop that carries it Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13400-whats-with-the-teabags/page/2/#findComment-363849 Share on other sites

KidKruger
I have been on the Yorkshire 'red label' for a couple of weeks now and it really is doing the job, a proper trip down memory lane in terms of a teabag giving a decent cup.I will try the other brands advised as well, once the Yorky's are consumed. But already the problem has been sorted.
