Hello??Ed

I know how hard and time consuming it is to find a cleaner that you can have complete trust with and the confidence to clean ones home.

I'm recommending my cleaner who was also recommended to me by a friend and EDF and has been cleaning for me over a year. Nicole is experienced, reliable and very very trustworthy.A gem of a cleaner no issues with her service only praise and local to the area you will not be dissappointed guaranteed.?

Nicole 07507373456?

Good Luck☺??

[ Posters if you are going to advertise your own services then be explicit and open about it! It is all too obvious otherwise and you risk losing trust which will not increase your business.... just a little bit of friendly advice before you get slammed by savvy EDF users ]

Ed I have recently taken advantage of the new customer promotion by Asherah. They have advertised themselves on EDF as a new business using eco products. Their fee is a little more than some cleaners but they send 2 cleaners at a time. I was really pleased that they used a steam cleaner and my place smelt lovely!

If you search EDF you will find their thread which includes promotional codes making their first visit a bargain.

Welcome to EDF and Honor Oak Park

Hello EDF Members

In response to the post above.

Im new to the area and I have 3 children all under the age of 10 so you can imagine and appreciate I don't have alot of spare time. I needed some extra help with little things in the home ie diy and cleanning. I used a local cleanning company but wasn't happy with the service they provided for the money I was paying ?15x3hrs p/w plus when I made a complaint It wasnt dealt with swiftly or it wasnt acknowledged at all. One day I was just venting to my neighbour about the issues with the cleaning company and she told me about EDF and gave a recommedation for her cleaner who advertised her services on the forum which I hired and havent looked back since. There are some really genuine and trustworthy individuals out there and on this forum who take pride in the work and services they offer.

So whats wrong with with giving a genuine recomendation or thumbs up for a service that one is happy with and highlighting that service or company in the local area. I have used many services on this forum just like many others and has been a lifesaver especially for me as I get to know what's availble to me in the community.

rayofsunshine, I completely agree. This forum is great for recommending good services. What doesn't go down well is when people pretend they are happy customers and write a fake review in order to advertise their own business. EDF users quickly identify that as dishonest and call out on it. It can be very obvious........

Binkylilyput,

I also agree with you its good to know the administration has extra helpers pointing out these fraudulant individuals who im sure are few in numbers. I can only speak about my experience, as I mentioned before I found my cleaner on edf and does more than what is required in the job title and my family is very very appreciative.I would want to share my familys joy with others in the community and forum so they may also enjoy the service I do.Researching for whatever it maybe is time comsuming the least to say tiring and this is where the forum is tremendously helpful pointing one in the right direction for services offered trade and products.

rayofsunshine maybe you could share the details of your wonderful cleaner to help out Ed?

cleaningblue don't be too concerned, it must be tempting to do, business is hard! I just wanted to gently warn against it as I have seen posters/ businesses being torn to shreds on this forum for such actions.

Now, can anyone actually recommend their cleaner for the OP? I've made my recommendation and now I'm bowing out.

Peace and happy cleaning!

    • I have someone from Which Tech phoning on Monday afternoon. I couldn't get an earlier appointment. I am hoping that now there is a visible display, they will be able to get me online and then  remotely control the laptop and identify what went wrong and whether it is an ongoing fault or, if not, whether it is likely to recur. If they can't, or if they identify a hardware fault,  I will have to grit my teeth and let John Lewis's third party "repair" company take it away and deal with it 😭 I'm very grateful for your advice, but when I saw "Windows will restart automatically" my immediate reaction was to think "but suppose it doesn't" and "suppose the screen goes black again" which I know is very negative but I'd rather someone else was there when I did it, albeit on the end of the phone! Meanwhile, every cloud etc, as I have installed Word on my phone, which I didn't know was possible, and I have been editing and printing documents from there.  I haven't investigated whether I can do the same with Excel, but I will see what happens on Monday.
