power08
Pushchair, stupidly...Well, lesson learnt.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13319-wallet-stolen-in-just-williams-shop/#findComment-362200 Share on other sites
cate
Bad luck. I very stupidly once left my handbag in the child seat section of a supermarket trolley, turned away for 15 seconds or so to look at a shelf and it disappeared containing everything including house keys. I now always have it across my body. Like you said, lesson learnt. I also know of an elderly lady who had her purse taken from the bottom of her wheeled shopping trolley in a Boots. A lot of people also seem to leave their handbags on chairs in shoe shops while they try on shoes. Have been in shoe shops when bags have been stolen. power08
Yes, i reported to the police, they went to the shop to check CCTV. The stuff didn't know how to activate their video system, so we couldn't check it straight away. I am pretty sure though who did it- it was very quiet in the shop- just couple of moms with the kids and a man(I remember thinking that he didn't really as a toyshop customer).. Mick Mac
Power08 - How are you sure it was taken in that shop? And not dropped / lost for example or taken somewhere else for example? BARA
One of our members had her handbag stolen in the St. Christoper's Hospice shop a few months back, had it in the bottom of her grandaughter's pushchair. The staff there said that they had a number of thefts from pushchairs/bags over the months. She had a load of keys, phone, wallet etc stolen. Cost about ?50 to replace the keys alone. She reported it to the police as had to claim off her insurance company Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13319-wallet-stolen-in-just-williams-shop/#findComment-363309 Share on other sites
