gufflings
No, no neighbours getting up/alarm clocks, but guess it could be heating, although we've been 'pulsing' it at night lately as it's not cold enough to have it on constant and she doesn't wake any other time it kicks in. To be fair to her, she was constantly teething for a couple of months and then she had a really bad ear infection, so things have been a bit all over the place at night for a few months. Last night she went down at 7.30 and woke at 6, which hasn't happened for ages, but she did have a rotten night the night before! elsie tea
Having tried many methods to combat many different sleeping (or, rather, waking) problems, my youngest woke me up this morning proudly telling me he had got out of his cot himself. Oh joy oh joy oh joy..... samstopit
I think they do grow out of it but if mine are anything to go by it takes years. The 4 year old now sleeps to about 6.30 if his sister doesn't wake him earlier. She is 3 and still thinks 5.30 is a cool time to start the day about 50% of the time.My coping strategies are:1. Coffee. Lots and lots.2. Earplugs - I can still hear them even without the monitor.3. Crawling back to bed on Saturday mornings and sleeping until lunch time while DH does the early shift.Good luck!S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13295-anything-you-can-do-about-an-early-waking-toddler/page/2/#findComment-412363 Share on other sites
????
Our 5 and half tyear old NEVER sleeps beyond 6am....some are just like it :'(. The 3 year old and 1 year old quite happily put in another hour and sometimes more if she keeps quiet enough. susyp
just a little thing that helped us - the Groclock. My daughter did used to wake at 5am in the summer. Now her natural time seems to be 630 am and I am hoping her new black out blinds will keep that going. But she gets a sticker on a reward chart everytime she waits for Mr Sun (at 715) and it has worked a few times...... It's definitely helped her go back to sleep during the night as well. It's the best thing we have bought. Sometimes she wakes up and I can hear her singing to herself til Mr Sun wakes up but it at least gives me some time to doze.... Here's looking forward to the clock change ! susypx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13295-anything-you-can-do-about-an-early-waking-toddler/page/2/#findComment-412638 Share on other sites
