hello,

I currently lead a baby music class in West Hampstead for babies up to age three which has times throughout the week and am planning to start a similar regular class in the East Dulwich/Herne Hill area. The classes are for a mix of ages from babies up to age three so are sibling friendly and involve sing alongs, dancing and percussion/instrument playing. The classes are always drop in, ?5/class and would be Monday/Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday/Saturday mornings.

Thank you so much for all the feedback so far but I am on hold as I'm struggling to find an appropriate, available venue! If you have any venue suggestions, I would really appreciate hearing them!

Ideally I will be starting the classes in the next few weeks and would welcome any further feedback as well regarding interest/need for such classes in the area and what times/days would be best! There seem to be quite a few other baby music classes in East Dulwich/Herne Hill already but they seem to be only once a week, more expensive, age specific or require a term commitment so it appears there may be a need for a class such as mine.

Any feedback on a venue or the classes in general would be much appreciated!

All the best,

Bea

drop in is perfect! i'm very, very reluctant to sign up to block classes because you end up missing half of the classes thru baby illness/bad days etc. the afternoons in particular have few classes going on.

some venue suggestions:

east dulwich community centre, darrell rd se22

goose green community hall (not sure of contact details sorry, but bumps and babes is held there on mondays so is used for baby groups)

soup dragon on lordship lane se22 (has room upstairs)

east dulwich constitutional hall - on melbourne grove or east dulwich grove i think

st thomas more hall on lordship lane

st clements with st peters church has a hall for hire too (on friern road se22)

christ church on barry rd se22 holds many classes for kids too, so worth checking their availability

dulwich park has the francis peek centre which holds kids classes/baby groups

good luck.

    • Hi, Self explanatory anyone help or point me in  right direction please.   Thanks
    • Cheques are still the safest way to send money to others if you want to make a 'thing' of it. At Christmas or birthdays a card with a cheque is the most effective present to distant god children or extended family, for instance when you don't know what they have or need - made out to the parent if you don't think they have an account yet. Of course you can use electronic transfer, often, to parents if you set it up, but that doesn't quite have the impact of a cheque in the post. So a cheque still has a use, I believe, even when you have very much reduced your cheque writing for other purposes.
    • I believe "Dulwich" is deemed where Dulwich library is situated so left at Peckham rye and straight up Barry Road
    • The solution for the cost of duvet washing is for each person to have their own single duvet like in Scandinavia.  Then you can wash the duvet in your own washing machine. Get a heated drying rack if you don’t have a tumble dryer.
