Rats (by Sainsbury's)

I was shopping at Sainsbury's yesterday and walked back through the little park adjacent towards the bus stop. Saw about 30 rats running around - has anyone else noticed this?

...saw a huge one in there not long ago. Scared me! It always seems to be full of fried chicken boxes and waste that place, so i'm sure that doesn't help.

Often seen rats there. Never 30 of them at once, though!

Found a dead one on my front lawn last week. Presumably it had been poisoned and that is where it took it's dying breath. Guess who had to dispose of it? Eeuugh!

That happened to me too (only mine was rotting as I'd just got back from holiday). Eeuugh indeed!

There's loads of foxes in there as well, so I expect nature is keeping things in check.

I've seen many on the occasions that I've walked through the park. They scuttle into the hedges. In any City, the rates outnumber the human inhabitants!

I mentioned this in the ed nature watch thread. That park is owned by sainsburys. I emailed them about it a few weeks ago and they said they'd forward it onto the store. If everyone emails they're more likely to do something about it so please do email them.

Crikey this park sounds like hell from what I?ve read on this forum over the last few months - rats and muggings.
